Groups for Children and Teens

A cancer diagnosis in the family is a critical juncture in a young person's life.

Our Kids Circle and Teen Circle Programs are specially designed to help young people learn to cope with a cancer diagnosis in the family. Our experienced facilitators offer an engaging mix of age-appropriate activities and professional guidance to help children and teens cope with their new reality. Our programs also teach new coping techniques and practical skills that can help children maintain relationships and stay connected to their peers.

HopeWell offers two different programs for children and teens:
The Kids Circle/Teen Circle Program is for children who are dealing with a parent’s cancer diagnosis.
The Kids Grief/Teen Grief Group helps children, teens and surviving adults navigate the loss of a parent to a cancer. (See Bereavement Services section.)
